If you’re under 50 and reading this, our membership would be a wonderful gift to give to a parent, grandparent, friend or neighbour. 60 and Better provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy life to the full. An activity that interests you? You can come along too (you’ll just have to wait till you’re 50 to become a member yourself).

Everyone is Welcome

Don’t let having a disability, mobility impairment, or various health conditions restrict you! All our activities are suitable – we can accommodate your needs in most cases. You’ll be with caring folk who grew up in the same years you did. View our activities page for more info.

Life can sometimes be lonely for folk and this organisation helps breathe new life into your world. It’s run by a wonderful coordinator, office assistant and a team of happy and inspiring volunteers of all ages. We have university students with us at times too who always bring loads of new ideas to the table.

Wait No Longer!

We’d love to hear from you!

The Fun Starts Here!

What is the 60 and Better Program?

60 and Better programs are managed by older people and are located throughout Queensland. Committees meet regularly to plan activities, discuss health issues and decide on directions for the program. All 60 and Better activities have an emphasis on keeping the body and the mind fit and active.

They encourage new experiences, new friendships and open opportunities for new learning. Some of the programs available are as follows: Boccia, Bridge, Chess, Computer Skills, Art Class, Concert Party, Discussion group, Gentle Exercise, Coffee & Chat, Table Tennis, Tai Chi for health, Square Dancing. Monthly activities include Movie Buffs, a regular newsletter and a Social Group. Guest Speakers attend general meetings and topics cover a variety of health and wellbeing issues.

You can’t turn back the clock, but you can wind it up again!
